Why look after your lashes ?
While client is having their lashes done I make sure to go through all the hows and whys on lash aftercare . Its important that the you fully educated. I like to also give my clients a list to look back on as they may not remember.
1. Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours - after this most glues are fully set however I would advice you check with your lash supplier
2.Avoid any oil based products around your eyes
3.Lash extentions will not last as well with mascara , however you can still use mascara’s that are made specially for lash extentions , please make sure you clean off correctly (see instructions below)
4. Clean your lashes before top up , we will clean in salon also , but this allows for a deeper clean meaning your lashes will be prepped for perfection
5. Your lashes will need topping up every 2-3 weeks (classics) and 3-4 weeks (russian)
6. Brush your lashes daily and follow our cleansing routine every 3 days depending on your lifestyle e.g. how much make up you wear ect . Feel free to ask us if you are unsure
7.Do no pick your extensions , this will 1. Damage your natural lash and 2. Take away your lovely lashes . If you wish for a removal please book in with us :)
Cleansing Lash routine:
You will need-
Eyelash shampoo (included in our lash cleansing kits) or baby shampoo can be used as a alturnative
A lash comb (supplied at your appointment)
Water
Which hazel spray(also included in our lash cleansing kits)
Apply 1 pump of lash shampoo (if using baby shampoo make sure you only use the foam) onto your lash comb . Brush your comb through your lashes avoiding contact with your eye balls , for a deeper clean you can use an eyeshadow brush and swirl gently around the lashes . Then rinse your brush and comb the shampoo out of the lash’s with water until all shampoo has been rinsed (some clients prefer to rinse in a shower , whatever works best for you is fine) if you wear eye make up regularly you can repeat this process again .
Let your lash extensions dry naturally and I would suggest you do this around every 3 days . In our lash kits we also supply which hazel spray which you can spray onto your comb daily and brush though for a quick refresh.
